One person was killed and three others injured in an accident at an industry in IDA Bollaram of Sangareddy district on Sunday evening. According to B. Rajagopal, Director of Factories, an oven exploded in SYS Electric Mech, resulting in the accident. While Radhika (34) died three others — Vijay Yadav from Uttar Pradesh, Kamalesh Gouri and Chanuri Ram, both from West Bengal were injured and immediately shifted to a private hospital for treatment. Their condition was stated to be out of danger.
The impact of blast was such that the roof was blown off. Radhika is survived by her four children. No other unit in the nearby places was impacted due to the blast. However, the incident triggered panic. It is suspected that over heating of oven and failure of controls might have resulted in the blast. Police registered a case and are investigating.
