
One woman died and another woman was seriously hurt in a head-on crash early Thursday in Roseland on the Far South Side.
A 28-year-old was driving east in Ford SUV about 2:35 a.m. when she swerved into oncoming traffic and struck a Honda Civic in the 600 block of West 115th Street, Chicago police said.
The driver of the Ford died at the scene, police said. The driver of the Civic, a 30-year-old woman, was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released the woman’s name.
Police are investigating the crash.
