One killed in blast at CNG filling station

BATHINDA: A worker died and two others sustained injuries in a blast that took place when a worker was filling CNG from a pump in a car at the CNG pump near the bus stand in Mansa on Sunday evening. Two cars were damaged in the blast.

Sources said a car was getting CNG filled at Jagdish oil company pump near the bus stand in Mansa. Worker Bikram Singh was filling CNG when the blast occurred, said to be from the tank of the car. Bikram was seriously injured and occupants of another car, Shinder Singh and Karamvir Singh, were injured. Their car was also damaged. They were rushed to Manaa civil hospital. Pump owner Jagmohan said the blast occurred in the car tank while filling CNG.
