PRACHIN BURI: A man was killed and three others injured in a collision involving a bicycle and two motorcycles in Si Mahosot district of this eastern province early Sunday, police said.
Pol Lt Col Vacharachai Srivichai, a police duty officer, said the accident happened at about 1.30am on Highway 319 (Si Mahosot-Prachin Buri) in tambon Khok Pip.
A police investigation revealed that Boonsong Singthong, 57, was cycling home from a factory night shift when he was hit in the rear by a motorcycle driven by Kriangkrai Ketthong, 23. Kriangkrai's motorcycle was then hit from behind by another motorcycle carrying two men following closely behind. The three men on the motorcycles were returning home after visiting a relative in Si Mahosot Hospital.
The chain-reaction crash left the bicycle, the two motorcycles and the four men lying on the road splattered with blood. Kriangkrai was killed, while the three others were injured.
The injured men were admitted to Si Mahosot Hospital.
