One injured as firefighters battle industrial blaze in north Dublin

A person has been injured after an industrial fire broke out in Swords, Co Dublin this morning.

They were treated at the scene of the blaze which was tackled by firefighters.

Seven units from Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene on Kettles Lane in Swords.

Brave firefighters from Swords, Finglas, Kilbarrack and Balbriggan battled the blaze which started shortly after 10am, Dublin Live reports.

In an update on Twitter DFB said: "We've made good progress at the industrial fire in Swords & will be scaling back the response. Units will stay on scene damping down.

"Smoke was visible over a wide area in clear skies"

Five fire engines, a turntable ladder and foam tender attended the scene and a breathing apparatus was used.

Dublin fire Brigade released a statement saying: "Dublin Fire Brigade are attending an industrial fire on Kettles Lane, Swords. 5 fire engines, a turntable ladder & foam tender on scene.

"Breathing apparatus in use."

Gardai also attended the scene of the fire.
