One injured as car rolls on A4 Bath Road in Bristol

One person was treated by paramedics after a car they were travelling in ended up on its side on one of Bristol’s busiest roads last night.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the A4 Bath Road just outside Brislington at around 8.30pm on Friday, September 10, by multiple people who stopped to help at the scene of the crash.

A Volkswagen Polo car was left on its side in what police said they believed was a single vehicle collision.

The collision happened on the main A4, at the junction with Ironmould Lane, which leads to Brislington FC and Brislington Cricket Club.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police confirmed the road was cleared after around an hour, with delays to traffic as they and the paramedics worked at the scene.

“Police were called at 8.30pm on Friday 10 September to a single-vehicle collision at the entrance to Ironmould Lane, off the A4 Bath Road,” a spokesperson for the police said.

“A Volkswagen Polo ended up on its side and one person received injuries not believed to be life-threatening. Ambulance attended and the vehicle was recovered by 9.30pm,” she added.
