One ingredient ice cream recipe you can make in seconds

We may still be on lockdown but thankfully the weather is looking good over the next few days, which will hopefully make the situation a bit more bearable.

If you’re now one of the many people working from home, you may have found your eating habits have changed - hey we all need a few treats right now to cheer us up.

So with the hot weather on the way we’ve found an ice cream recipe that will do the trick next time you’re craving something sweet - and it’s even healthy too.

The simple recipe only requires one ingredient and you can then transform it with whatever toppings you fancy.

To make this gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan ice cream dream, all you need is some ripe bananas. Simply pop them in the freezer, then when frozen blend up into a creamy consistency, and add a splash of milk (dairy free if you prefer), to get it extra smooth.

It will have a similar texture to soft-serve ice cream, so put it in the freezer again if you prefer it a bit firmer.

For extra flavour, you could add cocoa powder, vanilla extract, peanut butter or fruit, and to make it a bit more of a treat, you can sprinkle over pieces of chocolate, sweets, marshmallows and sprinkles - Pizza Hut ice cream factory flashback!
