ONE person has been taken to hospital following a fire at a house in a coastal village.
Four fire engines went to the scene in Seatown, Gardenstown, in Aberdeenshire when the alarm was raised just before 5am on Thursday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said one person was passed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) and taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The fire was brought under control by around 7am but firefighters remained at the scene later in the morning.
An SAS spokeswoman said: “We received a call at 4.57am to attend an incident near Harbour Road, Gardenstown. We dispatched two ambulances and two special operations response team to the scene. We transported one patient to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”
