More than one in five adult Canberrans have been fully vaccinated from COVID-19.
Of people in the ACT aged 16 years and older, 22.3 per cent have received two doses of the vaccine, according to newly-released government data.
That is a much greater proportion than the national average, in which only 15 per cent of adults have received two vaccines.
The ACT comes second to the Northern Territory, in which almost 25 per cent of adults have been fully jabbed.
Official federal government figures have suggested more than 50 per cent of people in the ACT have received their first dose.
However, ACT Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith has warned the real figure may be lower.
"About 10 per cent of that is actually people, probably from regional NSW, who are receiving their vaccinations in the ACT," she said.
The ACT government had suggested a disclaimer be placed on the number reported by the federal government, after noticing the discrepancy last week.
The federal government has not yet responded to that suggestion.
The ACT government is working on the assumption there are 344,000 ACT residents over 16 eligible for vaccination.
