One held for stealing from tourist's scooter in Goa

SALIGAO: The Anjuna police on Friday arrested Mubin Khan for stealing a camera and mobile phones from the storage compartment of a scooter at Vagator.

The police said Arjun Goel, a tourist from Delhi, had complained on December 29 that an unidentified person had stolen a camera worth Rs 40,000, two memory cards, a power bank, and a phone worth Rs 25,000, among other things, from the storage compartment of his scooter which was parked in a parking lot at Vagator.

When the police received information that a person had put up a camera for sale online, a decoy customer was arranged and the accused was called to Arpora to deliver the camera. He was apprehended there and most of the stolen goods were recovered from him.

Khan has been arrested under provisions of the IPC.
