One Georgia Bulldog makes ESPN’s list of CFB’s most exciting players

On Thursday, ESPN released its list of the 15 most exciting players in college football for the 2019 season.

Georgia running back D’Andre Swift ranked No. 10 on the list that did not include Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa or Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence (a refreshing change).

There’s no debating that Swift is one of the nation’s most exciting players to watch. The Philadelphia native speedster can do it all, whether that be catch the ball out of the backfield, run you over or make you miss. There might not be a more exciting split-second in college football than watching Swift hit one of his insanely dirty cuts, breaking a defender’s ankles.

Edward Aschoff had this to say of Swift:

Despite dealing with nagging injuries and playing in a crowded backfield in 2018, Swift still led the Bulldogs with 1,049 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. He averaged 6.4 YPC and tied for second in the SEC with 29 touches that were either 12-plus-yard rushes or 20-plus-yard receptions. In two seasons, Swift has registered 899 yards after contact and 40.6% of his 244 rush attempts have gone 5-plus yards.

Some notable players on the list include:

1. Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue

2. Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama

3. Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin

4. Justyn Ross, WR, Clemson

5. Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson

7. Jalen Hurts, QB, Oklahoma
