Second body found after Qld house fire

Authorities have found a second body in the charred remains of a Queensland share house that went up in flames on Saturday.

A crime scene has been declared, with the second death confirmed more than 24 hours after the blaze at Kilcoy.

The first body was found not long after the fire broke out just after 2pm on Saturday.

Police had to shore up what was left of the home before being able to search for a missing resident.

The victims are yet to be identified.

Other people lived at the house but weren't at home when the Golf Links Drive property caught fire.

"Sadly, police have located a second body as a result of a house fire in Kilcoy. Police located the second body at around 3pm following continued investigations overnight and throughout the day," police said on Sunday.

Investigations are continuing into the cause.
