A man has been killed and another is in critical condition following a shooting outside a pub located in Sydney’s inner-west.
At about 6.40pm on Sunday, August 17, emergency services were called to Harold Park Hotel on Ross Street in Forest Lodge following reports of a public place shooting.
When police arrived, authorities found that two people had been shot multiple times by people who had fled the scene in a car.
One of the victims was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene. Unfortunately, he couldn’t be saved and died at the scene.

Per the Sydney Morning Herald, the second victim — who reportedly had gunshot wounds to the neck, chest and abdomen — was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Speaking to the publication, a witness named Charlotte claimed the victim had been shot “at least six times”.
“He had been shot multiple times, at least six times,” she said.
“But he was still conscious, and they put him in the ambulance, so hopefully he makes a full recovery.
“It just doesn’t feel like something that happens in Sydney very often, but when it does happen, it feels pretty scary.”
Police have established a crime scene, and Leichardt detectives — with the assistance of the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad — have launched an investigation into the incident.
Anyone with information regarding the shooting is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online.
