One dead and one in hospital after horror crash in Dundee

A 26-year-old man has died and a 31-year-old man is in hospital following a horror crash in Dundee.

Emergency services raced to Camperdown Park just before 11pm on Sunday.

It's believed a dark coloured car collided with a tree in Templeton Woods.

The driver remains in Ninewells Hospital in Dundee (SWNS)

The 26-year-old was the passenger while the 31-year-old was driving the vehicle.

Police say the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver suffered seriously injuries and was raced to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where he reamins.

His current condition is unknown.

A Police Scotland spokesman told the Record: “At around 10.55pm on Sunday night police were called to a road crash in Camperdown Park, Dundee.

"Two men, a 26-year-old male passenger of a dark coloured car and a 31-year-old driver, had been seriously injured.

“Emergency services were in attendance, however, the 26-year-old man died at the scene.

“The 31-year-old man was taken to Ninewells Hospital where he remains.

“Inquiries are continuing and a report is being sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
