MADURAI: Only one Covid-19 case was recorded from all the 10 southern districts of Tamil Nadu on Saturday. In Madurai, with no new Covid-19 cases or recoveries, the number of active cases remained at three. Kanyakumari reported one fresh Covid-19 case, which took the active cases in the district to three. Meanwhile, Virudhunagar district added one recovery on Saturday. The region had 10 active Covid cases, with Madurai (3) and Kanyakumari (3) having the highest, followed by Virudhunagar (2). Ramanathapuram and Tuticorin have one active case each.
Meanwhile, Trichy continued to report nil Covid cases on Saturday. The number of active cases in the district remained unchanged at two. The Central region comprising nine districts reported nil fresh case on the day.
