But the Brazilian wouldn't be returning to Liverpool, as it's Chelsea who are keen on landing the former Reds star when the transfer window opens in two days time.
Coutinho joined Barcelona from Liverpool for £142million in January 2018 as a replacement for Andres Iniesta, but has fallen well short of this billing.

But according to Goal, some Barcelona chiefs are ready to part company with Coutinho this summer and cut their losses.
Barcelona would want a figure of around £100million for the midfielder before they would consider selling, according to Spanish publication Sport.

But the Blues would only be able to sign Coutinho on the condition their two-window transfer ban is overturned, or at the very least, pushed back.
Chelsea are taking their case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to achieve exactly this. And should they succeed they will likely immediate swoop for Coutinho.
