One Burger King in Liverpool is open for drive thru and delivery

Fast food giant Burger King has opened restaurants across the country, including one in Liverpool.

While Burger King closed its doors in the UK in March following government advice on preventing the spread of coronavirus.

The restaurant chain initially opened four venues with a limited menu, before adding more in the last few weeks.

Now, Liverpool’s East Prescot Road restaurant is open for drive thru and delivery.

Drive thru restaurants across the country were given the go ahead to reopen earlier this month when Environmental Secretary George Eustice announced that drive-thrus are “made for social distancing” .

Unlike many other businesses, fast-food outlets were not mandated to close during the lockdown, though many chose to do so, including McDonald’s , KFC and Burger King.

Burger King on East Prescot Road is now open from 12pm - 10pm and is available to order from Just Eat.

Items on the limited menu include the famous Whopper, Chicken Royale, the Bacon Double XL and kids meals such as Chicken Nuggets and Cheeseburger.
