One big omission from Newcastle United line-up v Man United as starting XI call made

Newcastle United fans would not pick Joelinton for their Premier League clash with Man United this evening.

The Brazilian has been a man reborn since the arrival of Eddie Howe on Tyneside and has been one of the Magpies standout players in recent weeks.

Howe has dropped Joelinton deeper into a midfield role and the 25-year-old's performances have seen an upturn in form.

However, the Magpies faithful who took part in our matchday pole have not selected Joelinton in the starting XI to face Man United at St. James' Park.

The Toon have still won just once this season and remain second bottom of the Premier League as they prepare to take on a Man Utd side who are showing signs of progress under new boss Ralf Rangnick.

The Red Devils are likely to see an unchanged front six and have just Paul Pogba missing from their squad, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford expected to lead the forward line.

Newcastle fans want to see Callum Wilson and Allan Saint-Maximin up top, with Jonjo Shelvey and Joe Willock behind them in the centre of the park.

Here's the most popular line-up selected by supporters.

Newcastle United XI: Dubravka; Manquillo, Schar, Lascelles, Ritchie; Almiron, Shelvey, Willock, Fraser; Wilson, Saint-Maximin.
