One-bedroom Glasgow flat is cheapest home in the city at just £35k

A one-bedroom property, considered to be Glasgow's cheapest home, is being auctioned off at a starting bid of just £35,000.

The top-floor flat on Dumbarton Road could be yours and although it's in need of some extra care, it's being offered for sale at a guide price that is over 50% less than its Home Report value of £75,000.

So one buyer could be snapping up a proper bargain if they were to get their hands on the property.

The flat’s accommodation includes an entrance hall, bright bay window lounge, galley style fitted kitchen, good sized double bedroom with storage and bathroom with shower over bath.

It has electric panel style central heating and double glazing, whilst a new owner would also have access to a communal garden and drying area to the rear of the property.

It's located within walking distance of a variety of local amenities including shops, bars, restaurants, schools, bus stops, and train stations at nearby Yoker and Garscadden, whilst it also benefits from easy access to the Clyde Tunnel and M8 motorway.

A number of house-hunters might be attracted to this keenly priced home under the hammer, from first-time buyers to buy-to-let landlords, with the property estimated to generate a potential rental income of over £493 per calendar month or over £5,923 per year.

The flat at 2164 Dumbarton Road will be open to bids at Auction House Scotland’s in-room auction at 2.00pm on 18th May at the Radisson RED hotel.

The auction will also be live streamed allowing interested bidders the option to watch and bid online, whilst telephone and proxy bidding is also available if potential buyers are unable to attend the auction to bid in person. All bidders are required to register to bid before participating.

Anyone interested in viewing the flat is invited to attend an open viewing taking place on Monday 17 th April between 12.00 - 12.30pm.

Details and photos of the property can be viewing on Auction House Scotland’s website.
