A man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm after armed police raided a property in Beeston.
Officers were scrambled to an address on Old Lane after being alerted to reports of a gun there at 3.55pm.
People living nearby took to social media saying the the junction of Dewsbury Road and Old Lane had been blocked by police.
A police spokesman said earlier: "Police were called at 3.55pm to Old Lane after reports of a firearm was present at an address.
"Officers attended and have searched a property.
"Enquiries remain ongoing."
However police have now confirmed: "One individual has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm."
