An area of the Liverpool City Region recorded a small fall in positive Covid test results.
According to the latest data from Public Health England, Sefton had 6,250 positive covid tests in the seven days ending January 6 - that's 125 fewer positive tests than the previous seven days.
This means Sefton's week-on-week percentage change figure fell by just 2%.

Every other area of the Liverpool City Region continued to see an increase in infections. The week-on-week percentage change figure rises were: 12% in Knowsley; 4% in Liverpool; 5% in Halton; 3% in St Helens; and 6% in Wirral.
The Liverpool City Region also had a week-on-week percentage change figure rise of 4%.
Cheshire West and Chester, West Lancashire, and Warrington also recorded increases in positive Covid tests - respectively, the increases were 7%, 5% and 5%.
England saw a rise in cases in the week ending January 6. England had 1,000,283 coronavirus infections, which is 86,875 more cases than in the previous seven days.
Liverpool
Liverpool's positive tests came to 11,090 cases in the week ending January 6, which is 443 more cases than in the previous seven days.
This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure rose by 4%.
The latest infection rate was 2,215.9 cases per 100,000 people.
Halton
There were 3,251 positive tests over the last week - that's 165 more cases than in the previous seven days.
This means the week-on-week percentage change figure increased by 5% in Halton in the week ending January 6.
The latest infection rate is 2,505.4 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There was a total of 4,588 cases in the week ending January 6, which is 150 more cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate in St Helens is 2,533.5 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure rose by 3%.
Knowsley
There was a total of 4,084 cases in the week ending January 6, which is 447 more cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate in Knowsley is 2,678.9 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure rose by 12%.
Wirral
There were 8,179 positive tests in the week ending January 6, which is 481 more cases than in the previous week.
Wirral 's week-on-week percentage change figure rose by 6%. The latest infection rate was 2,521.8 cases per 100,000 people.
Sefton
Sefton had a total of 6,250 cases in the week ending January 6, which is a 125 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate is 2,265.3 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases dropped by 2% week on week.
Liverpool City Region
There were 37,442 positive tests over in the week ending January 6, which is 1,561 more cases than in the previous week.
This means the week-on-week percentage change increased by 4%. The latest infection rate is 2,198.92 cases per 100,000 people.
West Lancs
West Lancashire recorded 2,603 coronavirus cases in the week ending January 6, which is 111 more cases than in the previous seven days.
This meant there was a week-on-week percentage figure rose by 5%. The infection rate was 2,273.45 per 100,000 people.
Warrington
There were 4,738 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending January 6, which is 213 more cases than the previous week.
The week-on-week percentage figure rose by 5%. There was an infection rate of 2,262.69 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 7,326 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending January 6, which is 464 more cases than the previous seven days.
The latest infection rate is 2,130.75 cases per 100,000 people, and there was a week-on-week percentage increase of 7% in cases.
England
In the week ending January 6, England recorded 1,000,283 coronavirus cases, which is 86,875 more cases than in the previous seven days.
There was a week-on-week percentage rise of 10% in cases nationally, and there was an infection rate of 1,768.84 per 100,000 people.
