One advantage for Vikings WR Jordan Taylor? His height

As Vikings wide receiver Jordan Taylor fights for the third wide receiver spot on the team, he has one thing going for him that other receivers on the team don’t have.

His height.

At 6’5, Taylor is the tallest receiver on the team by three inches. Laquon Treadwell, Brandon Zylstra and Adam Thielen are all 6’2.

“I think what I appreciate about him is that he gets out here and he is assignment sound, he’s getting lined up, and then as you know, his body is different than some of our other guys,” Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski said earlier this week. “He is taller. He’s got long arms, so you can see in some of the reps he has out here in practice where physically he has the ability to go make some plays outside the frame work of his body.”

That could make Taylor a solid red zone target. I’ll be interested to see how the Vikings use Taylor. Gary Kubiak spent time with Taylor in Denver, so he knows his strengths and weaknesses.

It should be fun when preseason kicks off to see how this WR3 battle will shake out.
