Ondrej Kudela could take a secret flight to the UK in a bid to represent the Czech Republic in an upcoming World Cup qualifier against Wales despite the threat of police questioning in relation to alleged racist abuse of Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara.
The 33-year-old was initially ruled out of the match at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday over ‘safety fears’ but talks between the Czech FA and the Slavia Prague player’s representatives appear to have bridged the impasse.
According to news outlets in his homeland, Kudela could fly into the Welsh capital separately from the rest of the squad, despite his teammates already flying out.
Lawyer Aamer Anwar said that Police Scotland planned to talk to the 33-year-old when he was next in the UK over comments made to the Ibrox star during a Europa League match last week.
Slavia face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the quarter-finals of the competition on April 8.
Kudela started the 6-2 win over Estonia last week and Sunday's 1-1 draw with Belgium in Group E.
National boss Jaroslav Silhavy claimed they still hoped to "sort everything" following the behind-the-scenes discussions.
A Czech FA statement read: "The management of the Football Association of the Czech Republic and the management of Slavia Prague are currently still acting together, in accordance with the interests of player Ondrej Kudela."
