Under-fire Slavia Prague star Ondrej Kudela has claimed he called Glen Kamara a "f****** guy" during the incident that sparked scenes of anger against Rangers.
The Finnish midfielder and a host of of his team-mates were left visibly angered, with Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard confirming an alleged racist incident to UEFA had been reported.
Connor Goldson was booked in the melee that followed and the Ibrox coaching staff led by their manager were locked in a series of heated discussions with their Slavia counterparts after the final whistle.
Early on Friday morning the club released a statement including a response from Kudela.
He said: "I told him 'you're f****** guy' (sic).
"It was said in emotion after two red cards and a series of brutal tackles by an opponent, but I completely reject the accusation racism."
And Slavia have now claimed Kudela was attacked by Kamara himself in the aftermath of the Europa League last 16 clash.
A club statement said: "The players of Slavia in the match faced an unprecedented insidious game of the opponent, which they have not experienced in the history of modern European football.
"A series of brutal interventions by the opponent ended with an injury to our players, the goalkeeper Ondřej Kolář ended with 10 stitches on his face and a concussion in the hospital.
"After the match, the team was not allowed into the cabins and Ondřej Kúdela was cowardly beaten with fists in the face by player Kamara without warning in the presence of coach Steven Gerrard.
"The UEFA representatives, who were personally present at the whole incident, were also shocked. The team is now safe at the hotel under Scottish police supervision. "
