About 220 lucky Canberrans will be able to travel to Antarctica and back within a day in November this year.

There are 40 seats left on the Qantas 787 Dreamliner, which will depart the nation's capital and travel to Antarctica on Sunday, November 7.

Prices for a seat range from just over $1000 to nearly $8000.

Antarctica Flights said polar expeditioners will be on the flight to talk through the view, including scattered ice, icebergs and ice floes.

The aircraft will fly over the Southern continent, providing views of mainland Antarctica from above.

Antarctica Flights' CEO Bas Bosschieter said the trip was a rare opportunity to travel overseas during COVID-19.

"Antarctica Flights offer the ultimate one-day adventure," he said.

"It's a chance to see this extraordinary white wilderness from the air, and learn about the southernmost continent from polar experts, at the same time as experiencing the fabulous new Qantas 787 Dreamliner.

"You get to travel overseas, no luggage or passport required!"

The flight will be an approximately 12-hour round trip from Canberra, with passengers boarding at 7.15am and returning at 9pm.

There are six seating options available. An Explorer Economy seat will cost $1,199, and Business Class Deluxe is priced $7,999.

The company said strict COVID protocols would be in place.

There will also be 18 journeys from other major cities in Australia.

The Dreamliner will leave Perth on November 14, Adelaide on November 21 and Hobart on January 30, 2022.

Two flights will depart Brisbane, on November 28, 2021 and February 20, 2022.

Melbourne flights will leave on December 5, 2021 and February 6, 2022; and Sydney on New Years Eve - December 31, 2021 - and February 13, 2022.
