Andy King is officially a Robin. The former Dolman Stand spectator joins up at the club he supported, with a one-year deal announced on Friday.
Nigel Pearson asked for two central midfielders and now he has them, with Matty James confirmed the week before and now King confirmed, after a period of time up at the training ground proving his fitness.
King's signing means that the West Country outfit actually have three former Foxes in their playing ranks, with James and Danny Simpson too, and three men who have Premier League winners' medals.
King is well-known as being a Bristol City fan himself and so his return to BS3 in a playing capacity sets up a homecoming of sorts, to the team he used to watch with his family.
The 32-year-old Barnstaple-born bos-to-box midfielder offers experience in the middle of the pitch and also will understand the club and its fanbase, as a supporter himself. It was great to hear him talk about watching the Johnstones Paint Trophy win previously in an interview on Friday.
Surely this will work out as one of the most popular signings of recent years down at Ashton Gate, given King's background.
