The tsunami disaster continues to dominate our news agenda, although news that the governor of Baghdad has been killed in what is Iraq's highest profile political assassination for eight months is also high on our priority list today, along with the escalating violence in Gaza.

We're updating several picture galleries with the latest images of the relief effort, and Guardian correspondent John Aglionby has filed an audio disptach on the aid operation in Aceh.

We're hoping to talk to Guardian correspondent Jonathan Watts - who is with Jeb Bush and Colin Powell in Thailand - for an audio report, and Neil McIntosh will be blogging about blogs: more specifically, their part in spreading news of the tsunami disaster and whether it signals the blogosphere's "coming of age". Another comment piece from a Christian Aid worker should be on its way later today, following three from Sri Lanka during the last few days.

We'll also be overhauling the external links on the special report, adding the latest official sites listing the dead and the missing. If you think we're lacking any tsunami-related links, please comment below or drop an email to the usual address: weblog@guardianunlimited.co.uk.
