Two more victims of the London bombings have been named: they are Jamie Gordon and Philip Stuart Russell. Meanwhile five homes in West Yorkshire are being searched by police investigating last week's terror attacks. We'll have an audio dispatch from our reporter on the scene. And it's just been announced by the US embassy that American service personnel can now resume visits to London.

Other news: Mark Tran will be blogging here about the travails of Karl Rove; we'll have full coverage of the BBC's annual report on MediaGuardian.co.uk; and environment secretary Margaret Beckett writes about the prospects for tackling climate change post-G8.

And SocietyGuardian.co.uk has photographs of skips decorated by artistically inclined teenagers.
