Morning. Another busy news day beckons, as the impact of George Bush's inauguration speech sinks in around the world and various court cases - not least the court martial of British soldiers - capture our attention at home.
We've already written about the government's proposals to tackle binge drinking and Ken Bates taking the reins at Leeds in a £10m takeover. Adam Jay has been reporting on the tales of woe from P&O passengers as they disembark from the ill-fated luxury cruise ship Aurora, and Mark Oliver is continuing to follow the court martial of three British soldiers accused of abusing Iraqi detainees.
On Newsblog, Simon Jeffery and I will be writing about reaction to Bush's inauguration speech: our posts of yesterday have already aroused the usual lively debate from you, and no doubt that will continue today. Remember you can also debate the issues over at Guardian Unlimited Talk.
