Colm Murphy's reigning champion looked better than ever as he eased to victory at Leopardstown in December and can successfully defend his crown. Current race favourite Detroit City is impressive, but five-year-olds have a bad record in the race. Brave Inca will be a shorter price on the day.

West Indies to win the Cricket World Cup (starts 13 March). The hosts have been quietly building an impressive one-day side. In Chris Gayle they have a match-winning opening batsman and their bowling attack has become more disciplined. The Aussies are rightful 2-1 favourites, but with home advantage West Indies should not be four times the price.
