Thailand's Thaworn Wiratchant.
Thaworn, who was joint-overnight leader with Australia's Peter Fowler, had a three-day total of 23-under 193 and defeated Ireland's Mark McNulty by eight strokes.
Fowler soared to a 74 on the last day to finish joint third with Miguel Angel Martin of Spain on 205 in the season-ending event.
"I'm so happy to win. To win in my first year on the Senior Tour is fantastic as there are so many good players here," said Thaworn.
"My tee shots were great all week and that really helped me win here. I felt really comfortable on this golf course -- it reminded me of playing in Thailand."
Thaworn's score of 23-under par is the lowest ever at the MCB Tour Championship, and his final round 62 is also the lowest carded at this event, matched by Sweden's Jarmo Sandelin earlier in the round.
The Thai veteran carded 24 birdies and an eagle during his rounds of 66-65-62.
The 50-year-old, who was the second Thai to win on the European Senior Tour after Boonchu Ruangkit, moved up to finish ninth on the money list with €136,878 from seven tournaments.
Apart from being given a one-year exemption to play on the tour, Thaworn will also be eligible to play at the US Senior PGA Championship and British Senior Open.
In Florida, Steve Stricker and Sean O'Hair captured the QBE Shoot-out on Sunday, finishing off a wire-to-wire victory with a best-ball eight-under 64 in the final round.
The duo finished two strokes ahead of Graeme McDowell and Shane Lowry to win the 24-player unofficial PGA Tour team event in Naples, Florida.
Pat Perez and Brian Harman placed third, four strokes adrift of O'Hair and Stricker. Lexi Thompson, the lone woman in the event, tied for fourth with her partner Tony Finau. bangkok post/afp
