'On our way to Wembley!' - Tottenham fans react to what Jose Mourinho has done against Brentford

Tottenham Hotspur fans are delighted with the team Jose Mourinho has picked for this evening's Carabao Cup semi-final against Brentford.

The north London outfit go into the game on the back of returning to winning ways in the Premier League by beating Leeds United 3-0 at the weekend.

And Spurs' form in the Carabao Cup has been impressive - hence why they are one win away from setting up a final clash against the winners of tomorrow night's Manchester derby.

It's been just under 13 years since the Lilywhites last won a trophy and it just so happens to be a competition that their current head coach is somewhat of a specialist in having tasted success with Chelsea and Manchester United.

In an attempt to reach yet another League Cup final, Mourinho has made several changes to the side which started against Leeds three days ago.

Five be exact.

As expected, Hugo Lloris, Eric Dier, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Kane, and Son Heung-min all retain their places, while Serge Aurier, Davinson Sanchez, and Lucas Moura are among those drafted in.

There's also a recall for Sergio Reguilon in place of Ben Davies at left-back, while Moussa Sissoko returns in midfield in place of Harry Winks.

Tottenham XI: Lloris; Aurier, Sanchez, Dier, Reguilon; Hojbjerg, Sissoko, Ndombele; Lucas, Son, Kane

Most of the reaction from Spurs supporters on social media has centered around the inclusion of Reguilon and Sanchez in the back four, but there is a lot of positivity surrounding the lineup

Take a look at some of the best responses on Twitter...

@Kevrov said: "Really strong team. Sanchez and Reguilon are mild surprises for different reasons, but nothing too crazy.

"Hope we get a glimpse of Vinicus and Dele at some point, esp as there are extra subs available for the remainder of the #CarabaoCup."

@lostbustard said: But why start Reguilon when Davies been on good form?"

@hugooisr said: "Sanchez makes sense imo. Reguilon comes in more attacking wing back while Sissoko a more defensive mid than Winks comes in. Love the front 4 too!"
