Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz hoped for more prosperity for Saudi Arabia as it celebrates its 91st National Day on Thursday.

King Salman presided over a virtual cabinet meeting on Tuesday. He hoped the Kingdom will prosper so that it can become a beacon of civilization, moderation and peace for the world.

The cabinet reviewed the various meetings and contacts between the Kingdom and several friendly countries in recent days. They included a message sent by King Salman to Algeria’s President Abdelmadjid Tebboune that covered the historic bilateral relations that bind their countries and efforts to bolster joint cooperation between them.

Acting Media Minister Dr. Majid al-Qasabi said the cabinet tackled various regional and international developments. The ministers underscored the commitment of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and United States to a comprehensive political solution in Yemen.

They underscored their complete support to the new United Nations envoy to Yemen and called on the Yemeni government to immediately take the necessary steps to achieve economic stability.

The cabinet reiterated the Kingdom’s support to international efforts aimed at preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and bolstering the nuclear non-proliferation system in the region and world.

Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman had expressed this stance at a meeting for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna on Monday.
