On-loan Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius 'wants to stay' at Besiktas after turning around fortune

Loris Karius appears to have turned around his fortunes at Besiktas.

The on-loan Liverpool goalkeeper has endured a difficult loan spell in Turkey so far after being accused by his own manager of "going stagnant" while also having his attitude and enthusiasm called into question and being part of a wage dispute which is now believed to be resolved, as well as making a couple of high-profile errors.

However, the shot-stopper appears to regaining some of his form and confidence as his side have won their last six matches in a row with the German saving a penalty in the most recent 4-1 win over Ankaragucu.

After the events in Kiev that took place last May, it was always going to be a difficult season for Karius but he has another year left on his loan deal which he now wants to see out, according to Fanatik via Sport Witness.

Fanatik believe the goalkeeper is now keen to stay at Besiktas after joining on a two-year loan deal in the summer.

Karius’ future, however, could depend on the actions of Senol Gunes.

The manager could be replaced at the end of the season and the new boss would have to make a decision on the goalkeeper’s position.
