LUCKNOW: Following detection of 12 corona positive cases in one day, administration has instructed all government hospitals across Lucknow to activate Covid wards from Sunday. Further, leave of all medical and administrative staff including officers now stand canceled.
Following an emergency meeting with various stakeholders including chief medical officer and other district administration officials on Saturday evening, district magistrate Abhishek Prakash instructed that in a view of possible third wave of coronavirus in current form of Omicron mutation, the integrated Covid control and command center (ICCC) would work now round the clock with eight-hours shift of medical and administrative officials.
"All leave of medical and administrative staff including officers are canceled with immediate effect. From Sunday, all community health centers would be briefed every day at 6 pm. Further, rapid response team and surveillance teams will be doubled from immediate effect to trace and test infected patients," siad DM.
Giving directions to district-based hospitals he said, "All government hospitals will have to activate Covid wards and its monitoring would be ensured by the additional district magistrate Trans Gomti through ICCC."
He said, "CHCs like Alambagh, Aliganj, Silver Jubilee and Sarojininagar etc. have been kept in the 'red zone.' Intensive surveillance, sanitization and barricading should be ensured in the mentioned areas."
Adding further he said, "Covid appropriate behavior and vaccination should be promoted more through public awareness and all officers should ensure to work on the zero tolerance policy. Laxity in Covid management will not be tolerated."
