Omar weakens to tropical depression: U.S. NHC

Omar has weakened into a tropical depression and is expected to become a remnant low by Thursday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Wednesday.

The system is located about 265 miles (430 km) north of Bermuda, with maximum sustained winds of 35 miles-per-hour (55 km/h), the Miami-based weather forecaster said.
