Sampdoria are desperately searching for another £30m in player sales ahead of the new season as Omar Colley's future remains uncertain.
Celtic have been strongly linked with the Gambia international but the Serie A side are eyeing a bumper £9m fee for the no-nonsense stopper.
Colley is one of six potential players who could be heading for the exit doors as Sampdoria would also consider bids for Jeison Murillo, Jakub Jankto, Bartosz Bereszysnki, Ronaldo Vieira and Nicola Murru
SampNews claim the club are looking to further bolster their coffers after the departures of Karol Linetty and Gianluca Caprari produced £18m.
Parma are also keen on Colley as they search for a long-term replacement for former Rangers defender Bruno Alves with the 38-year-old recently penning a new deal to remain in Italy.
Claudio Ranieri's transfer activity rests upon his club finding some additional funds before the close of the transfer window.
Meanhwile, Sampdoria's charismatic owner Massimo Ferrero is targeting a pair of new arrivals in the coming weeks.
He said: “A striker and a midfielder, then the backbone of the squad is already there.
“It’s true that I sold Linetty to Torino for €9.5m, thanks to easily reachable bonuses, but look around you. From Juventus to Roma to Inter, there are no big clubs who are buying.
“European football is at a standstill. This COVID is taking away the security and football is affected too.
“We will do something, like we always do, but it requires patience and an overview.”
