Liverpool are interested in Celtic target Omar Colley - according to a report in Italy.
The Sampdoria defender has been repeatedly mentioned in connection with Neil Lennon's side in recent weeks, but they could face stiff competition from the English Premier League champions.
West Ham have also been linked with the 27-year-old Gambian.
According to The Republic, Liverpool are interested but have not yet submitted an official offer.
They say the Serie A side would be looking for a fee in the region of £11m.
Celtic have made one high-profile defensive signing this month, and Shane Duffy scored his second goal for the club in Wednesday night's 2-1 win over St Mirren.
Both of Celtic's goals came courtesy of Ryan Christie assists, and Duffy has praised his new team-mate.
The Irishman said: "He's a real creative player. I was buzzing with his deliveries. He’s a quality player and shows it in training. Excited to keep playing with him and hopefully can put more on my head!
"We’ve got a top squad here and I’m sure there will be a few rotations. We want games and the more games the better for me. It’s something we are looking forward to and the aim is trying to win every game."
