
Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq al-Said ordered on Sunday the formation of committee to deal with the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic, a government media office statement said.
The committee, headed by the interior minister, will study the speedy return of economic activities, it said.
The Sultanate reported on Sunday five more deaths from the virus, taking its toll to 104.
The health ministry said 1,404 new infections have been confirmed, raising the tally to 23,481.
Recoveries have reach 8,454.
