Oman Reports 143 New COVID-19 Cases, 213 Recover in Kuwait

Oman reported 143 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 2,274, the Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday.

Out of the newly reported cases, 101 were of non-Omanis and 42 Omanis, it added.

While death toll caused by the virus in the country stands at 10, the number of recovered cases reached 364.

The ministry called on all citizens to abide by self-isolation measures and to go out only for necessities.

Meanwhile in Kuwait, Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basel Al-Sabah announced on Wednesday the recovery of 213 cases from the novel coronavirus, raising the country's total recoveries to 1,389.

He said tests proved that the patients have recovered, noting that they will be admitted to a rehabilitation ward before being discharged from hospital.
