Oman's Ministry of Health said on Sunday it has registered nine deaths caused by COVID-19 pandemic in the past 24 hours, taking the total death toll in the Sultanate to 257.
It also reported 1,318 new virus cases including 1009 Omanis and 309 residents, raising the total number of positive cases to 56,015.
The ministry said 843 new patients recovered from COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, taking the total recoveries from the disease to 36, 098 in Oman.
The Ministry has called upon all residents to comply with precautionary measures, especially wearing masks following social distance.
