Oman's Ministry of Health announced registering 1,142 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the Sultanate to 33,536.
Of the newly reported cases, 471 were for non-Omanis while 671 belonged to Omani citizens.
The ministry also said it recorded 142 deaths, raising death toll to 142.
Up to 693 have recovered so far, bringing the total number of recoveries to 17,972.
The ministry called on all citizens to abide by self-isolation measures and to go out only for necessities.
