The third edition of OPAL Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition kicked off Monday in the Omani capital, Muscat.
The exhibition, organized by the Oman Society for Petroleum Services (OPAL) in cooperation with Oman Expo, is Oman’s premier oil and gas platform.
Industry expert speakers will share strategies and solutions on Oman’s energy industry, and discuss important issues on the energy sector, most notably the impact of VAT on oil and gas, in addition to the transition to alternative energy.
OPAL Chairman Dr. Amer al-Rawas said that the conference will highlight the new technologies in the exploration and extraction of oil from the deep sea and the introduction of renewable energy technologies.
Rawas noted that there is a gradual transition from oil and gas to renewable energy which will be an in-depth research station for the first time in the renewable energy technologies and services sector.
