Omagh shooting: Police appeal for information

Police have attended the scene of a suspected shooting in Co Tyrone.

In a statement, police said that they were called Thornlea, in Omagh, on Tuesday night.

It is unclear if there have been any injuries.

A PSNI spokesman said: "Police are currently in attendance at a suspected shooting incident in the area of Thornlea, Omagh.

"The incident is reported to have occurred between 2000hrs and 2015hrs.

"A black motorcycle with two riders was reported to be involved and was seen leaving the area towards Deverney Road, Omagh.

"Detectives are appealing to any witnesses to the incident or anyone who noticed this vehicle in the area before or after the incident to ring the police non emergency number 101 quoting the reference cc1801 13/08/2019. Alternatively information can be passed via crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
