Olympiakos 0-1 Arsenal player ratings as Alexandre Lacazette finds form in snorefest

Alexandre Lacazette scored a vital away goal in Arsenal's 1-0 win over Olympiakos.

The Frenchman, who missed two gilt-edged chances in the Europa League last-32 clash, atoned for his early errors to tap home a Bukayo Saka cross 10 minutes before the end.

Mikel Arteta shuffled his pack for the first leg clash in Greece on Thursday, with Matteo Guendouzi among the Gunners to return to the starting XI.

But the tenacious midfielder spent more time on the ground at the Karaiskakis Stadium, as both sides cancelled each other out for most of the match.

With time running out, and neither side looking like scoring, Lacazette rediscovered his form to give Arsenal an important away goal advantage.

Here's how our man Darren Lewis rated the performances from Greece.

Arsenal

Leno 8

Vital stop to keep prevent Luiz scoring an own goal. Justified his inclusion.

Mustafi 7

Decent overall as the home side started fast and made their own luck.

Luiz 7

Will have breathed a sigh of relief that Leno was alive to prevent his OG.

Sokratis 6

A makeshift right-back and did largely well despite Valbuena and Tsimikas testing him

Saka 7

Took his time to grow into the game but tested the home back line with his pace. Perfect timing and weight of pass with his assist for Lacazette.

Guendouzi 5

Went down at the slightest touch. Good player but a tendency to be too theatrical.

Xhaka 6

Not enough power in his deflected first-half shot which Sa saved well.

Willock 6

A few driving runs as the home side ran out of steam and Arsenal grew into it.

Aubameyang 7

Started the move that led to Lacazette’s goal after setting up the Frenchman who missed a first-half chance.

Martinelli  5

Quick feet for a clever cut-back that Lacazette could only put wide. But little else.

Lacazette 8

Missed two good chances but banished his Laca confidence by taking his third.
