Olympiacos send classy message to Kostas Tsimikas after making Liverpool switch

Olympiacos have sent a message to Kostas Tsimikas after officially becoming a Liverpool player.

The 24-year-old defender has signed a five-year contract with the Reds, and will provide competition for Andy Robertson at left-back.

The Reds will pay Olympiacos an initial fee of around £11.75m, with Tsimikas wearing the No.21 shirt which was previously worn by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain before he switched to No.15 last year.

Tsimikas has already expressed his delight over completing his move to Anfield, and now his old club have sent a classy message his way.

Olympiacos have congratulated Tsimikas on making the switch to Liverpool, and also wished him the best for the future.

“In 2014 #Tsimikas joined the @olyfcacademy,” the Greek club wrote on Twitter via their English account.

“Today we are proud to announce the transfer of our "Tsimi" to the English Champion & current European & World Champion @LFC!

“We wish you every success Kostas, you will always be a member of our red-and-white #family.”
