Olly Murs jokes his sex life is 'on hold' as he breaks silence on emergency surgery

Olly Murs has admitted he 'isn't up to much in the romance department' after having emergency surgery on his knee last month.

The Starstruck host, 37, is dating stunning bodybuilder Amelia Tank and praised his girlfriend for looking after him as he continues to recover.

Sharing a pic from his hospital bed, the Troublemaker singer told fans on social media in February: "Been trying my best to avoid having it done, but the op was needed and it went well.

"I’m recovering in hospital but it means I’m having to cancel all my summer shows this year whilst I focus on my rehab."

Despite being "bloody sorry" about the situation, Olly is grateful to have Amelia by his side.

Joking he'd "catfished" the fitness queen because she thought she was "getting with a young pop star", Olly shared: “Amelia’s fully invested in looking after me for these next 24 weeks . . . at least I think she is!”

The Sun reports the presenter said he 'wasn't up to much romance at the moment', with Olly revealing: “Things are going really well, but it’s Amelia’s 30th is coming up so, if anything, I’m annoyed and upset that this has all happened now, as I really want her to have the best time.

"She’s going to have a party, but I will be sat in the corner with my crutches, but we know where our future lies together and we’re carrying on with this path, which we love.”

Olly admitted that as well as bringing out new music he would like to be a parent in the future.

He said he realised Amelia was "the one" after a "make or break" trip to Morocco.

The Voice coach gushed the pair knew "straight away" that they were going to "spend the rest of their life together".

Speaking to New magazine, Olly said: "When we went to Morocco on our first holiday together, we both definitely knew.”

He added: “After two or three days, me and Amelia looked at each other and said, ‘Yeah, this is kind of it now, isn’t it?’ We both told each other that we loved each other.”

The star admitted he used to see settling down as a "big thing" and revealed that he "fought against" finding love for so long until Amelia came into his life.

The fitness fanatic, who trains twice a day, also works for a major bank in London and is nicknamed Tank the Bank.
