Olly Murs apologised to a contestant on ITV's The Voice who was unable to progress to the next round of the singing contest. The chart-topping singer Murs is back in the red chair alongside Sir Tom Jones, Anne-Marie and will.i.am on the show.
One of the singers hoping to advance to the next stage of the competition was 'absolutely daunted' priest Jordan Spencer, who spoke about 'getting lost in his own little world' when he sings, ChronicleLive reports. He said: "Today means a lot to me, because there were times when I thought that being a priest, being gay and being a singer just wasn't possible."
Jordan chose A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman as his Voice audition song, however, despite his rendition getting a warm reception from the audience, as his family looked on in the wings, not one of the judges turned their chair for him. Anne-Marie looked like she was hovering over her button, but failed to hit it.

Unlike in past series, when even the acts the coaches don't turn for still get to speak to them, Jordan simply turned and walked off the stage, before becoming tearful as he hugged his relatives. Olly remarked that Jordan should "learn from this experience and come back," but then, clearly picking up on the mood in the room, he looked up in the direction of the audience and said: "Sorry we let you down."
