Olly Murs hangs up when Mark Wright asks if he's The Masked Singer's Robin live on air

Olly Murs hung up on Mark Wright live on air, after he quizzed the singer on whether he was The Masked Singer's Robin.

The two were chatting on Mark Wright's Heart Evening Show, when Mark quizzed The Voice judge about speculation over his possible involvement in the popular show.

He told Olly that he himself had been wrongly accused of being the character, then added: "You are favourite to be The Robin and there’s a reason why that makes sense because people say we sound like each other, we’re from the same neck of the woods, we’re mates, so it does make sense, but are you The Robin?

Olly proceeded to deny he was The Robin saying: "I’m definitely not the Robin".

Mark then insisted Olly sing a verse from Justin Timberlake’s "I Can’t Stop The Feeling”" the same song The Robin had performed on The Masked Singer on the weekend.

He compared the two voices next to each other.

"Just do it one more time?" he asked Olly.

In response Olly quickly hung up the phone on Mark, telling him: "Mate I’ve got to go sorry…"

Speculation has been high about who is under the feathered suit, with stars including JLS' Aston Merrygold, Peter Andre and Bruno Mars all mentioned by fans.

Last week saw surprise as former EastEnders actress and singer, Martine McCutcheon, was revealed to viewers as the Swan.

The Masked Singer airs Saturdays at 7pm on ITV
