The Voice UK returned to our screens on Saturday night and there was a big shock for Olly Murs when one of his friends and former work colleagues auditioned for the show.
The ITV contest was back for another series this weekend Olly, Will.I.Am, Tom Jones and new judge Meghan Trainor in the coaches' chairs and someone the Essex knows VERY well was one of the stars of the first episode.
Fellow Essex singer Lara revealed in her VT that she used to work with Olly and after he turned around for her performance of Jess Glynne's Don't Be So Hard On Yourself, the Troublemaker singer recognised her straight away, jumping out of his seat to give her a hug.
In her chat with the coaches, Lara said she worked with Olly at Kitchens Direct, which brought a few laughs from the studio and Olly himself.
And in turn, Olly admitted that he used to fancy the now 32-year-old and said he used to look up to her as she was doing gigs all the time.
Lara had the choice of her former Kitchens Direct colleague, All About That Bass singer Meghan and singing legend Sir Tom as her mentor and in the end, made the surprising choice of going with Tom.
